job summary:
Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading machinery manufacturer based near Winder, GA. Mechanical engineering projects include obtaining customer specifications and designing the mechanical components of the machinery.

This is a permanent opportunity. Relocation assistance is available.

responsibilities:

• Obtaining customer specifications and designing the mechanical components of the machinery

• Utilizing Solidworks as primary computer-aided design (CAD) platform for line layout creation / modification

• Design new products and systems that meet company standards and customer requirements.

• Modify existing designs in equipment to meet performance specifications and customer requirements.

• Ensure machinery designs are properly fabricated, parts machined, and assembled which may include revising of mechanical design

• Conduct machinery mechanical testing and interfaces with other departments to coordinate work/projects

Required Qualifications:

• B.S degree in Engineering

• Must have at least five (5) years experience in machine systems design within a manufacturing environment

• SolidWorks and AutoCAD (2D) experience

Preferred:

• SolidWorks certification

• Sheetmetal experience
